About the University
DSTU is the largest and dynamically developing scientific and educational complex in the South of Russia, where more than 50,000 students study, including 3,500 from other countries. The educational process includes the best practices of leading companies in their field, and the content of the courses meets the current and prospective needs of the country's and the world's economy. The university structure includes 7 institutes, 22 faculties, as well as a joint educational platform of DSTU in China. There are 8 student dormitories for accommodating out-of-town and foreign students. DSTU is included in leading international and regional rankings, annually improving its positions in the global scientific and educational space. DSTU has a developed infrastructure that ensures the solution of various tasks: from research and educational to mass entertainment of university, regional, and federal scale.

Sports, health, rest
DSTU is a leader in the development of student sports in the region. A powerful sports and material base has been created, with numerous sections in various sports. DSTU has 49 sports teams.
DSTU has a sports and health complex on the Black Sea coast, where more than 8,000 students rest annually.
Training and production base
On the basis of the university, educational and production platforms are being created. The "Modern Agriculture" classroom, the Innovation Implementation Center, and a joint laboratory with the "Rostselmash" plant have been built. Students gain practical work experience on modern world-class equipment.
Labs
At DSTU, great attention is paid to the development of youth science, support for young scientists, and youth scientific laboratories are being created, aimed at solving scientific and applied tasks posed by the real sector of the economy to researchers
dormitories
The student town is one of the largest structural units of the university. The structure of the student town includes 8 dormitories, where more than 5000 students from 67 countries live. In 2020, the largest 23-story student dormitory in the Rostov region opened at DSTU.
