International students are enrolled in over 100 academic programs. The most popular specialties include General Medicine (including programs taught in English), Veterinary Medicine, Agronomy, Biology, Pedagogy, Philology, Thermal Power Engineering, and Heat Engineering.

The university's strategic partners in student training include the domestic innovative biopharmaceutical company Promomed and one of Russia’s largest agricultural holdings, Talina.
To ensure practical training, the university has established 21 base departments at leading enterprises in Saransk across various economic sectors, including:

Additionally, international students travel to their home countries for internships at medical institutions. Currently, MSU has signed over 20 agreements with foreign medical organizations.
