About the training program
The subject areas of the programme are theoretical folkloristics and cultural anthropology—disciplines that study the principles underlying the organization of cultural traditions (their typology), as well as the structure of mythological thinking and ritualized behavior. The boundaries of contemporary folkloristics are extremely broad, both in terms of subject matter and methodology. In addition to traditional folklore genres, its objects of study today include the oral, visual, and action-based texts of the city (post-folklore), as well as a wide variety of speech forms and utterances containing mythological information (in the broadest sense of the term).
