About the training program
The program combines the traditional for MEPhI fundamental training in general and theoretical physics, mathematics, and training in relevant sections of modern physics: photonics, new materials, new radiation sources, etc. We teach to apply the acquired research skills and developed analytical abilities in practice, including adapting physical models and software packages to specific tasks.
What do graduates do?
A graduate who completes the program gets the opportunity to develop an academic career, work in research organizations, organizations of the real sector of the economy, on megascience installations, develop in high-tech business, and conduct pedagogical activities. Graduates become specialists in relevant areas of modern physics: photonics, new materials, new radiation sources. They gain fundamental knowledge of physics, competencies in programming, basics of working in modern computer modeling packages.
