About the training program
The doctoral programme trains research scholars and highly qualified academic staff in the fields of public international law, private international law and European law. Doctoral students study the principles governing the functioning of the international legal system, the legal personality of states and organizations, as well as mechanisms for the peaceful settlement of interstate disputes. The programme complies with the Federal State Requirements (FSR) and provides in-depth study of modern theories of international law, comparative analysis methodology and current practice of international courts. It is designed to develop the capacity for independent research, article writing and the defence of a Candidate of Sciences dissertation.
