Rules for settling in a dormitory
Required documents:
- The original of an identity document recognized as such by the Russian Federation, with an official translation of the occupant’s first and last name
- Copy of visa
- Copy of the migration card
- Health documents required under SanPiN and the regulatory acts of the Russian Federation
- 3×4 photo
Settlement conditions:
- A residential tenancy agreement is concluded with each student moving into a dormitory.
- Upon moving into the dormitory, students must be familiarized with the Regulations on the Student Dormitory and undergo the relevant briefings on fire safety requirements, safety rules for using household electrical appliances, consumer radio equipment and gas equipment, the established procedure for using personal household electrical appliances, and the procedure for vacating dormitory rooms. The briefing is conducted at least twice a year.

The SGTU student campus has dormitories for out-of-town students, master’s students, and postgraduate students. The dormitories of the Yu.A. Gagarin SGTU student campus provide accommodation for 1,076 out-of-town students. Each dormitory has showers, kitchens, washrooms, and laundry-drying rooms. Assembly halls equipped with lighting and audio equipment are available for cultural and social events, discos, and meetings with residents. The dormitories’ sports rooms are fitted with modern exercise equipment, providing an opportunity for sports enthusiasts to spend their free time usefully. Each dormitory also has a sports ground where competitions and sports festivals are held; in their free time, students can play football, volleyball, and basketball. Every year, the student campus holds competitions for the best room, best floor, and best student council. In city-wide reviews and competitions among university dormitories, our student campus has repeatedly won prizes.
