About the University
Южный федеральный университет – крупнейший научно-образовательный центр на юге России, который ведет свою историю с 1915 г. Уникальность университета состоит в его местонахождении. ЮФУ расположен в городах Ростове-на-Дону и Таганроге, что обусловлено масштабностью вуза и широким спектром решаемых задач: становлением университета как ведущего центра подготовки высококвалифицированных специалистов; развитием фундаментальных и прикладных исследований; включением в международные исследовательские и образовательные сети.

student campus
SFU provides its students with comfortable apartment-type dormitories in Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog. The territory includes sports grounds, a swimming pool, a library, reading rooms, and cafes. The student campus is a secure facility equipped with surveillance cameras and security
Library
The main library of SFU is located in an old mansion on Pushkin Street. Scientists and teachers of SFU have free access to full-text databases Web of science, Scopus, SciVal, Springer Link, and other digital resources
Practice bases
Students of SFU can develop their professional skills at practice bases: Gazprom Resort in Krasnaya Polyana, Rosa Khutor, Abrau-Durso Group of Companies, Southern Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Botanical Garden of SFU, Educational and Experimental Farm "Nedvigovka", Sberbank, IBS Dunice, Neurotech, Oggetto, TUI/FUN&SUN, etc.
tourist bases
SFU organizes additional education programs and health-improving events for students and staff at sports and health-improving and educational tourism sites: "Taimazi" (North Ossetia), "Limanchik" (Novorossiysk), "Vityaz" (Gelendzhik), "Belaya Rechka" (Adygea)
technology base
Students and researchers conduct scientific and production research in international laboratories, design bureaus, and various centers such as the Center for High-Tech Instrumentation, the Engineering Center for Instrumentation, Radio and Microelectronics, and the Advanced Engineering School of SFU
