Rules for settling in a dormitory

Required documents:

  • Passport and notarized translation of the passport into Russian
  • 3×4 photos (4 pcs.)
  • Medical certificate from a healthcare institution confirming the absence of diseases, HIV, hepatitis B and C; fluorography)
  • Copy of a voluntary medical insurance policy (if available / can be obtained upon arrival in the Russian Federation)
  • Enrollment order (website publication)
  • Certificate of payment for accommodation

Settlement conditions:

  • Accommodation in the university dormitories is arranged after the Admission Order is issued.
  • The accommodation procedure (conclusion of a tenancy agreement) for students and postgraduate students is carried out in the respective dormitories, whose numbers and addresses are indicated in the documents in the student’s Personal Account.

Additional information

All dormitories of Southern Federal University together form a unified student campus. The SFU Student Campus in Rostov-on-Don includes five sectional-type dormitories and one corridor-type dormitory built in the 1970s, as well as six apartment-type dormitories built between 2011 and 2014. The student campus in Taganrog includes seven dormitories built in the 1950s–1970s. After the enrollment order is issued, students must register in the “Student Personal Account” on the SFU website. An application for accommodation in a dormitory is submitted through the “Student Personal Account.” Citizens of near and far abroad countries must register with the migration authorities within three days of moving into the dormitory.
