About the training program
1.5. Biological Sciences. Training of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel capable of innovative activities in the genetic field and education. The main tasks of preparing a graduate student are: in-depth study of the theoretical and methodological foundations of biological science and genetics in particular; formation of competencies necessary for successful scientific and pedagogical work in the field of biological sciences. The graduate student will learn to perform field and laboratory biological-ecological research.

Possible areas of activity for graduates: Scientific research, educational, production, medical, environmental protection, and other federal, regional, and municipal organizations, including Southern Federal University, Southern Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Rosselkhoznadzor, Rosprirodnadzor, Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation, Azov Research Institute of Fisheries, Rostov-on-Don Anti-Plague Institute, Rostov Research Institute of Microbiology and Parasitology, Regional Advisory and Diagnostic Center of Rostov-on-Don, Research Institute of Obstetrics and Pediatrics, Rostov Scientific Research Oncological Institute, etc.
