Admission as part of a general competition
Standard admission procedure for foreign citizens on general grounds. Admission occurs based on the results of entrance tests or on the basis of education documents.

Foreign citizens can enroll at KBGU either on a state-funded basis or under contracts for the provision of paid educational services.

No. List of documents 1. Document(s) certifying identity and citizenship (passport). The validity of the identity document of the invited foreign citizen must not expire earlier than 1.5 years from the start date of the intended period of stay. 2. Education document of the established format (diploma, transcript). 3. Photograph. 4. Certificate of recognition of foreign education (nostrification), except where submission of this certificate is not required under the legislation of the Russian Federation. 5. Certificate of completion of a preparatory faculty/department (mandatory for applicants applying to Russian-language programs). 6. Referral from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (for applicants applying for places financed from allocations of the federal budget under the quota for the education of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation). 7. NEET certificate (for citizens of India applying to medical specialties). 8. Vaccination certificate (if a preventive vaccination certificate is unavailable, tests for antibodies to rubella, mumps, diphtheria, and measles must be taken). 9. Copy of a medical certificate confirming the absence of contraindications to studying in the Russian Federation, issued by an official authority of the candidate’s country of residence, in Russian. 10. Copy of a medical certificate confirming the absence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and AIDS, issued by an official authority of the candidate’s country of residence, in Russian. 11. Voluntary medical insurance policy covering all necessary medical services [outpatient treatment, repatriation, etc.] (provided upon arrival).

When submitting documents, items 1–3 are mandatory (the original and a notarized translation). Document 4 is mandatory for countries with which the Russian Federation has no mutual recognition agreement (you can check your country here: https://nic.gov.ru/ru/docs/foreign/confirmation). Document 5 is mandatory for applicants applying to Russian-language programs. Document 6 is mandatory when applying under the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation. Document 7 is mandatory only for citizens of India. Documents 8–11 are mandatory for submission but may be provided upon arrival in the Russian Federation. Documents issued in a foreign country must be legalized in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Russian Federation (https://nic.gov.ru/ru/proc/lega). Documents prepared in a foreign language must be accompanied by a translation into Russian certified in accordance with the established procedure.
