About the training program
The master's program "Linguistics (Translation and Translation Studies)" combines exposure to fundamental and applied research in the fields of translation studies, linguistics, intercultural communication, and the acquisition of professional practical skills in oral and written translation. The program is suitable both for students continuing to master the chosen language direction in their bachelor's program, who will gain in-depth knowledge here and have the opportunity to develop along the trajectory of scientific activity, and for graduates of bachelor's programs other than "Linguistics," who, possessing a good level of English proficiency.
What do graduates do?
Graduates of the program become translators. A linguist, a research linguist, a military translator, a guide-translator – this is far from the entire list of professions possible after graduating from the university under this educational program. Graduates will be able to work in translation agencies, language centers, editorial offices of domestic and foreign publications, and other structures requiring knowledge of English and Chinese languages and translation skills. After completing the program, graduates can find vacancies in journalism, travel agencies, PR companies, media, and engage in the translation of books, magazines, films, and business papers.
