The postgraduate program is to form: universal competences, not depending on particular field of study; general professional competences, determined by field of study; professional competences, determined by direction of postgraduate program within the framework of field of study.
Programme advantages
The structure of the program includes the basic part and the part formed by participants of the educational process. The postgraduate program consists of the following blocks: Block 1 is the basic part; Block 2 includes practices on obtaining professional skills and experience of professional activity; Block 3 “Research work” includes carrying out research work corresponding to criteria, established for scientific qualification work; Block 4 “Final State Assessment” includes preparation and passing of state exam and defending of graduate qualification work.

The list of professional competences of postgraduate program is formed by organization and (or) catalogue of scientific specialties, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
Types of professional activity: Scientific research activity in the area of Agriculture; Teaching activity on educational programmes of higher education.
The objects of professional activity: agricultural plants (kinds, sorts and hybrids, genetic collections of plants), agrarian landscapes, hay mowing and pasture lands, soils and their fertility, harmful organisms, methods and means of plant protection from them, technology of production of plant growing; sowings of field cultures, planting of fruit, vegetables, medicinal, decorative cultures and grapes.
